A few of Stilesmeadows's successful rehomings:
Hello to all of you!
I hope you are all OK.
My name is Kate Dilworth, I came to you with my mum around 5 years ago and we adopted an abandonEd dog called Bobby!
He is so gorgeous and scruffy, he loves to eat people food and is so lazy that all he seems to do is sleep all day.
He loves walks and to follow his friend Dill around who we already owned before we adopted Bob.
I have attached a photo of Bob and his best friend Dill together, Bob is on the right.
I just wanted to say thanks to all of you, you do a fantastic job.
Keep up the good work!
Best wishes from the whole Dilworth family x x
Rolo in his new home!! Looking chilled or what?
Zoe has gone to live with the family who rehomed Sasha in the summer. Sadly Sasha passed away, but we are so thankful that she spent her last few months in a loving home. Sasha's loss is Zoe's gain - strangely Zoe is a very similar character to Sasha and will fit very well into her new family.
Thank you so much for giving Sasha a final loving home and for taking Zoe.
Toffee with her new family - she was literally grinning from ear to ear!!
Billy (previously Squire) came on a visit to Stiles, with Christmas goodies for all of the dogs.
Thank you so much for that kind gesture.
Dear Sam and June
Thought you might like an update on Meg the elderly border collie who was found wandering on the motorway at the end of last year and who became part of our family in January. She has now become Megan and we have such a loving and wonderful friend. Despite her advancing years, arthritic hips and kidney disease which we try and control with medication and special food, she has given us hours of pleasure and is just so happy to please. She is so good with children and loves to meet other dogs.
She has had a recent holiday in Scotland and loved the sandy beach we found and chased the sticks we threw for her and played with much younger dogs and left us wondering just how old she really is. We have never known a dog with such a lovely disposition as Megan and we love her to bits and always will and will always be grateful that she came our way.. Thank you for taking care of her until we found her on your website.
Best wishes
Sue and Ken Fieldhouse
I thought I would send you a picture of me enjoying my holiday. Nobody told me about those long beaches in Cornwall until now! I have been able to chase every dog on the south coast! As you can see since I was with you at Stilesmeadow - I can now almost walk on water!
Love to you all,
Pip (shep)
Chloe is a very lucky girl - second time round she has a loving family. Just to let you know how Alfie is going on.
He is very well, although he is still bald on his back. We are letting the hair grow and hope to be able to do a comb-over eventually,
He travels well in the car and has been with us to stay/visit with family and friends. He is not an enthusiastic walker, but manages a smart trot on the way back, knowing that he`ll get a treat. He is beginning to show affection, which we think is something that he has not had for some time
Best wishes to all of you, you are doing a great job
Regards
David Dewhurst
To all at Stilesmeadow,
although Chloe has only been with us for a few days, we cannot imagine what life would be like without her. She is such a loving girl who gives us so much love. She has settled in really well and just loves sleeping in our bed. She loves her walks, especially running through the river. She is still quite timid but her confidence is growing daily. I have enclosed a photo of her sleeping in her favourite place. We will be up to see you all soon with the new and confident Chloe.
Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to own such a wonderful dog.
Donna,Steve,Jack,Harry and of course Chloe.
It was love at first sight when Grace met Teddy and they drove off into the sunset to live happily ever after!
Wilma visited us - she looked a lot better than when she first arrived at Stiles. She is obviously very loved.
Clyde has been in his home for three years now. He was pleased to see us but even more pleased to leave again!
Freddy (George when he was with us) brought his new friend Molly along to meet us. He's looking great.
Rocky, now called Otto, came back to see us. He looked really well and happy, his coat was so good, a new dog to the Rocky that we first had
Thank you to his new owners for their donation also.
Jack, on his second holiday of the summer!! Who'd have thought it!
Joe came back to visit us at Stiles, he is very happy in his new home and tells us he even has his own armchair!!

Hi
Do you recognise this little puppy?! We adopted Squire in march 2007 and he has made a great addition to our family! We renamed him Xavier, and he has proved to be a fantastic dog. He is affectionate, well behaved (most of the time) and just loves to be around people. He is particularly happy when my boyfriends mates come round and wrestle him! He gets on with our two cats, and likes nothing more than to spend an evening cuddled up on the sofa with us. Thank you for all the great work you did with him, he has proved to be a wonderful pet!

Sasha, now Susie, has at last found herself a new family and a new life. Us volunteers have wondered why she has been overlooked for so long when she is such a lovely character. But once again, her turn came! We know she will give lots of pleasure to her new friends.

Paddy is so great! He's off to his new life and adventures. Good luck Paddy!

Hi, in 2004 I moved from the fine comforts of Stiles Meadows to live with my new Dad. It has been really good, I take my Dad on two hour walks every day sometimes twice at the weekends. My favourite places are Asbury mere and Brereton heath. I am now used to all other dogs, it took me a while but I’m there, people say I have a boyfriend in each part of the town, but that is not true, I’m just friendly.
My cousin, willow, is a cat (shhhh! Don’t tell the other dogs) we love to play.
I enjoy playing with my toys, but my best toy in my dad’s socks. Got to go now, think its time for another walk (I hope)Thanks all at styles. I am so happy.

Woof Sam, Woof June,
I hope your not missing me too much & I wanted to let you know I am really enjoying myself with my new family. Mother Lucy is fantastic with me, she's got me hooked on Turkey & Rice and takes me on loads of walks to run it off. Master Rob confuses me at times.....I take all his footwear, cushions & football outside and give them a good shake and he just takes them back in the house....with time I think he will learn. I also have a new friend called Laddie at the farm next door, he's starting to know who the real boss is! Another new friend is George the Gorilla, I'm not sure about him yet though so as you can see form the picture I tend to keep him pinned down!!
Anyway, I have to go now as im already behind on chasing the lambs, checking Laddie is ok, barking at the cows and I really need to help water the garden!!
Hope to see you soon at StilesMeadow..... unless I can take Sam for a walk around DoncasterHill !

Tiny has settled wonderfully well in her new home and came back to see us at the weekend - she looked so happy!

Adorable Dora paid us a visit also at the weekend, sporting her new diamond collar - is that expression smug or what!

Lilly leaving with her new family - good luck Lilly!

Russell, now called Fudge, was in Stiles as a puppy earlier this year. He now has a new home with a girlfriend, Yaz. It's lovely to see the dogs so happy in their new homes - it makes it all worthwhile

Dear All At Stilesmeadow
Just a quick note to say thank you very much for looking after me untill my new Mommy and Daddy came to pick me up.
I am really happy here in Congleton, there are lots of great walks for me to go on,especially around Astbury Mere, it's ace there, I can run and play with other dogs there. I have had a few problems with the cats here but I'm trying to stay away from them cause they scratch my nose if I get too close but I just cant help myself and keep chasing them, But I'm getting better...
My new dad lets me go with him to work in his Van sometimes on short trips, and both Mom and Dad dont even mind it when I jump on them in the mornings once the alarm has gone off for Dad to get up. Daniel, Adele and Sophie are all really good too and let me sit with them when they do their homework and things.
Anyway I must go cos its time for my last walk before bed time. Lots of Love and thanks once again for finding me a new home!!!
Love
Harvey...

Hello Sam - and all those lovely ladies!
Well, here I am popping up to say hello.
As you know I had my name changed -to protect the innocent I think! I was named Shep but I am now named Pip.
Well my mum says that I am such a good boy - especially round the house. I have my own soft cushion in the living room. Of course it did just need the zip taking out to make it just right!
As you can see from my photo Sam - my coat does now shine like glass. Of course I have to keep it in tip-top condition by regular shampooing - Mum seems to think that this has to be weekly - I think every 5 years would be plenty! Guess who is winning!
But my very favourite pastime is RUNNING - I LOVE IT! Mum and Dad have to find some special places that have lots of fields so that I can pretend that I am a racing greyhound.
I would love to pop up and see you again this summer for a cuddle - that's my next most favourite thing.

This is Sprite,
Rehomed from Stiles Meadow in 2003 from a Litter of 7 Puppies.
She is now an Active Member of the Danesford Dog Display Team.
She also competes in Kennel Club Agility Shows and Obedience Shows.
We also did the Good Citizen Bronze Display at Crufts 2008.
She’s Loved by everyone who meets her.
I would recommend everyone to get a rescue dog rather than a pedigree as they are so rewarding.
We will come and visit soon

Hi there
It was lovely to see you at Easter - busy as ever!
We've finally got around to sending you a picture of Cassie for your album. We took Cassie home with us in December 06 after you took her in when she was found wandering the streets in Congleton.
Cassie has settled in very well, she loves other dogs, sleeping, and running as fast as she can. She's a real home bird and loves cuddling up in the evening - she's an absolute pleasure and we wouldn't be without here. Here's some pictures of her. a) winning the local dog show for 'best bitch' on holiday in Hereford and b) running on St Bees beach.
Best wishes
Kath & Ian Comerford, Oldham.

Alfie was a sorry sight when he came into Stiles - he has lost most of his hair and had an enormous growth over his eye. The vet diagnosed thyroid problems and Alfie had some cosmetic surgery. Despite all this Mr and Mrs Dewhurst visited Stiles and fell in love with him! He is going to a lovely house and garden in south Manchester and will finally get the love and attention he deserves. Good luck Alfie xxx(See the 'Thank Yous' page for before and after pictures of Alfie)

Marty came up to Stiles today to boast to us about his wonderful new home. He looked marvellous, not the dog who originally came to us a year or so ago at all! Marty was a particular favourite up at Stiles and it is so lovely to see him so happy!

Jet came to visit with his new owners at the weekend - he looked absolutely great. This is what Stiles is all about...

"Just thought you might like to hear how Mabel is going on. She is a lovely easy going dog, happy to fit in with anything as long as she is getting lots of love and fuss off everyone. She is very affectionate and loves her walks. We were lucky to spot her as she was only at Stilesmeadow for a day, from The Greyhound Rescue, and we were told she steals things, and she still does.
Here is a photo of her in Tatton Park with the horses. She always beats them in a race. She is a lovely addition to the family and we are so glad we found her."

Hi all,Just a short note to let you know that Benji has settled in very well and appears to be very happy with us. He goes for walks twice a day and loves playing with our youngest daughter Stephanie. When he first came he was very excitable but now seems to be much calmer and less jumpy. We love him very much and can’t remember what life was like without him.
The picture shows him on our bed – one of his favourite places
Best regards, Ian & Anne Harrison

Greetings from Kerridge.
I am settling in fine, having a great time whizzing around in the garden you can see in the picture, and I love "my" chair - I can almost keep an eye on the whole world from here! The guinea pig had me a lttle confused at first but I have agreed not to steal his food and he has agreed not to bite me! The cat is a little more challenging, apparently it is inappropriate to chase her, but she keeps scuttling around so what choice do I have.
I have put on 5lbs, and am getting 3 good walks a day, though I met a man last week who really really scared me (can't remember why) so I thought I had better run home a fast as possible (with my flexi-lead bouncing along behind me!) Never mind, a good square meal and a little snooze soon made me feel better.
My new owner would like to know how to go about changing my identichip details into her name. Do you know which company she needs to contact?
Anyway, there is an orange furry crocadile here that is just asking for it so I will try to send you some more photographs soon. Hope this one loads properly.
Love
Freddie

Thought I would send a photo of the dogs we have had from you , Holly, Rosie Bones and Sally ( who was my Dads dog )
They are all well and Sally although she must be very old by now , is still happy( on her glucosamine and arthritis tablets ) and I also bought her a magnetic dog collar to help with her joints, as they have worked for my dodgy knees,

Storm....
Hi just wondering if you still remember Storm, we had him from you when he was very thin etc. I was just looking at your site again and thought you would like to know how he's doing, well he is wonderful I've had a few dogs over the years I would say he is the best, he's very loving and loyal, a big rascal full of fun he loves to play and very intelligent, his training coming along very good, he does what you ask him to do, his only downside, if you want to call it that, is he goes hyper, not in a nasty way, when he sees other dogs when out walking on the lead, just cant seem to get him out of that but will keep trying. I thankyou once again for giving me the chance to have such a great dog, we love him to bits,
all the best Steve, Lynn.
Spencer.... Dear Sam, June and the Team, Here is a photograph of our beautiful dog, Spencer. Not only does he look like a model, he is becoming a model of doggy behaviour too. He retrieves, drops, gives, sits, stays, finds hidden things, carries our socks around, comes when he’s called (90%), walks to heel (90%), and was easy to house train. He entertains us constantly, never leaving our sides when we are standing, and sits on our feet when we are sitting. His bouncy greeting is a joy to behold, and every stick of furniture in the house remains intact whilst we are out. He sleeps with his head on our other Labrador’s bottom, and is desperately in love with our gas fire.
Spencer has added so much to our lives, and we are so grateful to you for the work you do.
Lots of love from
Grace, Paul, Spencer and Duke x

Charlie.... Hello Uncle Sam, Aunty June, Jackie & All my other friends at Stiles Meadow,
I am writing to wish you All a Happy New Year, and have attached my before and after pictures. I have been with my new Dad & Mum for just over six months and have put on one kilo in weight and my fur is beginning to grow back nicely in its lovely grizzle colour. I am still having showers with my special shampoo but not three times a week as I had originally and I have been off steroids for almost a month now. I am very good when I go to see Uncle Rob my vet but Mum says although we all like him very much it would be nicer if we could visit him annually not every few weeks! I don't know why as they always fuss me at the Surgery. My Dad takes me for long walks twice a day and when I go to see my Grandma Dad plays ball with me in the field away from most dangers (squirrels beware!) I really love balls. I have a problem according to Dad & Mum (selective hearing) as I will only go back to them when I am ready so I have to be on my lead most of the time when I go out somewhere different. Sad. I even have to wear my seat belt (which I am not fond of) in the car. I travel very well in a car which is just as well as all my relatives live a long way away but the journey is worthwhile as I love playing with the children and have lots of fun and cuddles from them. I love people and Mum says I'm kind and gentle. Dad says she wouldn't say that if she saw me with some other dogs, and all wildlife is on my chasing menu. Mum says that she forgets I'm there because I find a good spot and curl up. She says I'm asleep, but I'm not, I'm contemplating which I do for about 20 hours a day.
I had a lovely Christmas with our relatives and I did have Christmas presents which were wrecked in a matter of minutes. Mum says the majority of balls that they buy for me are indestructible. Not with me I'm pleased to say. It is a good job that I know what is mine and I only wreck my own toys and a couple of balls belonging to the children. I do respect everyone else's property and I am proud to say I have not done any damage whatsoever since I came to live with Dad & Mum. I will try to carry on being a good dog as I love my new home very much. Dad & Mum love me too which is very important.
I hope you all had a very nice Christmas. You deserve it. I will be bringing Dad & Mum to see you all quite soon.
Lots of Love from
Charlie xx

Harvey.... I decided to have another dog after the heartbreak of losing my two border collies, mother and daughter, to illness and old age. I went to Stilesmeadow one November morning I did not know what type or breed I wanted. But as soon as I saw Harvey, with those dark brown, sad eyes. I fell for him, he was in a bad state of affairs. He had been very badly neglected. He had hardly any fur on his neck, tummy and back legs and his back was bleeding. He came home with me and soon settled in. With a lot of TLC he soon started to improve. His fur grew long and silky and he even won a reserve for his photograph in Pets at Home. He is quiet, kind and gentle. I cannot fault him, he is my friend. I can take him anywhere. He has been to Wales with me twice in a cottage in Snowdonia and has behaved perfectly. Although he can be very stubborn at times - he likes to go where he wants to when out walking. I have had him now for 7 years and would not be without him. In June I decided to retire, so I have a lot more time so I decided to get another dog, but one that would suit Harvey as he is so special to me. I would not want to hurt his feelings. Anyway we were introduced to Lilly, a three year old retired greyhound from Greenfields Greyhound Rescue. They get on really well together. Harvey has been the perfect gentleman with her, letting her have his bed dowsnstairs and most of his toys. Harvey has won quite a few rosettes at local shows. Next year I hope to take them both to some shows, see how we go.....

Hello Sam, Jackie and June.
I am having a lovely time with Mandy and Simon. I get lots of walks, we play lots of games (my favourite one at the moment is chase round the house!) and I get lots of hide chews to chew on and toys to play with which I love.
I have met lots of people and some dogs. I am not too keen on other dogs but I do get on with Lady - the collie cross that Mandy walks on a Sunday for an older lady.
I have been into the office with Mandy on one day - lots of lovely smells at Capesthorne! and lots of people came into the office to meet me and give me a fuss. Mostly I go around with Simon and we go on adventures in the car or motorhome and of course lots of walks!
I am very well behaved and sit very well, when Mandy and Simon are eating I go and lie on my mat or in my bed - they don't have to tell me I just do it!
I have recently been on my first weekend away in the motorhome with Mandy and Simon. It was great fun! We went to Cambridge and stayed at a lovely campsite - it had a massive dog walking field. On the drive down I lie down and sleep most of the time and we stop regularly so I can stretch my legs and have a wee! I have attached some photos from the weekend - hope you like them!
Hope you are all well, I am, and having a great time, I'm very happy! Thank you for looking after me - I think you are great too.
Lots of Love
William.

Hi everyone at Stiles Meadow!
Just a quick note from me, Mindy, to tell you how I’m settling in. I’m doing very well and I’m a much loved family member already. I’ve grown very attached to my new family in the short space of time that I’ve been here and have befriended the beautiful border collie, Fern, who I share the house with. I have lots of new toys to play with (and have destroyed most of them already!!). I like nothing better than a long walk, a meaty treat and a cuddle for afterwards!! I’ve also continually entertained my family from the first day they brought me home.
I would like to thank everyone at Stiles Meadow for taking me in and letting my new family rehome me.
Hope everyone likes the photo!
Love and licks from Mindy!!xoxoxoxoxoxox

Hi Sam & June & Jackie, Leah is doing great and we have had a great weekend with her.
She has settled in really well and follows Rio round everywhere and has chased all the neighbourhood cats off, Rio doesn't bother with cats and lets them poo all over the garden, Leah has changed that and we haven't seen a single cat since she arrived. hehehehehe.
We have only had one accident all weekend and that was down to bad timing from us, apart from that, she has been well behaved and has got a favourite place already, see the picture attached to this email.
We have put her on some supplements to help her legs because she seems to be very stiff when she first gets up and we keep checking her belly and all seems fine.
She is eating ok and enjoying all her walks and she likes to play with Rio but we do have to stop them now and again because they both get too rough and we end up with with our brews in our lap.
Rio is still not letting her go in her new bed but she isn't bothered because she has claimed his bed instead. I wouldn't mind, but he is too big for her bed but somehow he gets in it and she just looks at him from his big bed and stretches her little legs out and gets all cosy whilst Rio is squashed up in her small bed.
She isn't reacting to the fireworks, but does charge round the house after Rio because he does get upset over them and then he ends up tripping up over her because she is behind him all the time.
Leah is an absolute cutie and the way she looks at us just melts our hearts and she has my hubbie wrapped round her little paw, and he loves every minute of it because he misses Thunder who was his dog and Leah is very much like Thunder.
Speak to you soon.
Gwen

Hi to june sam and all at stiles meadow I have emailed you a picture of Shadow and Bandit.in two poses. I thought you would like to put them on the Living happily ever after page. I look on the website every day and it amazes me at the dogs that are rehomed. Shadow came to us from Caroline at Greenfields rescue centre. He was named Ralfie but we changed it to Shadow because he is always behind me. Bandit came to us from Stiles and he was longing for a new home after being with you for such a while and, as you can see, he is blissfully happy. Bandits name was Hansome and we changed his name, as he doesn't say boo to a goose. We have been on several caravan holidays and they are fantastic, don't run off or cause any problems. We have always had greyhounds and these two are a breath of fresh air as you can see by the pictures. We wouldn't be without them. To anyone who wants a greyhound as a pet or even a lurcher, I can recommend them. They are easy to settle down and with a lot of TLC they become lifelong friends.
Thanks to June and Sam, and also thanks to Caroline too. Also dawn my daughter still has fly a tan/ white greyhound who is now thirteen years of age. He came from Stiles 11 years ago and sadly has a tumour in his toe, but he is being treated and has recovered well from one operation and is going to have his toe off soon. Hopefully he will be with us for a little longer god willing. David also has a fawn greyhound called Spear, but he came to us from another rescue centre. They all get on well together and are great friends.
Regards Lesley, George, Dawn and David Cooke.

Hello We just wanted to say hello (especially to Sam) from Basil (the patterdale terrier) who we adopted back in August. I have attached a picture of him looking quite happy I think. He has settled in quite well and is having lots of fun chasing rabbits around Rainow! He has also made friends with our neighbour's dog and keeps trying to make friends with our cat too.
He is a really lovely little dog so thanks for looking after him so well at Stiles Meadow and letting us take him home with us.
Best wishes to you all,
Emma & Richard Yorke

Jack came back to visit us recently - and he was as pleased to see us as we were to see him! He came to us originally with only one eye - and we originally called him Nelson. His new owner renamed him Jack and he is looking wonderful! ![]()
One really "Cute Terrier" - Bobby looks like he's a happy dog, with his new family.
An email received from Bridget the rottie's new mum: "Hi
I have enclosed a piccie of Bridget and Sam with the "ankle biters" in the family (my children) for your enjoyment. She has settled in lovely, as you can see she has claimed the prime TV watching seat on the sofa.
Thanks
Becki
There's going to be fun and games in Chris's new home Look at the smile on their faces!! Danny (now called Shadow) is off to join a new family (Sam is the poser on the right) Alfie going home with his new mum - lucky Alfie and lucky owner, he's a smashing little dog! Prince looks really comfortable in his new home and very happy with his new friend Biddy. They met at Stiles and it was love at first sight. Thank you to their new owners for giving them both a wonderful home. Gentle giant Wilf with his new friend... This is an email we received recently from Bob's owner: "Hi All - I took Bob to Betley Show last Saturday and of course he came away with a handful of rosettes. He got first for best cross, third most handsome, first for best rescue and a special rosette for the Judge's favourite. What a star! xxxx Christina and Bob"
Lucy left Stiles Meadow when she was 12 months old, now she is 16 years old! A little wobbly, but a happy dog. I only hope that all Stiles rescue dogs have such long and loving lives. Mr and Mrs Stewart said " Lucy has been a very good dog, no trouble and always loved " Thanks to them for giving Lucy her home.
Look at that smile! Jasmine is so thrilled to have found a new family Gracie returned to see us and she looks great!! Sandy was only with us a short while before he was snapped up by his new owner. He's a super little dog and will be a great friend to his new family Becks was so frightened when he first arrived at Stiles - he cowered at the back of his kennel and it took some time and patience by the volunteers to coax him out. Before long though he settled in and was cocky with us all. As you can see he's landed himself a cushy home and an owner who already loves him to bits. Cool dude Sam It was lovely to see Whiskey so happy and well when he made a sentimental journey back to Stiles... Sheba on holiday with her new family It's receiving pictures like this that makes it all worthwhile! Pearl and friends How's that for a grin! Joe in his new home, he thinks he's won the lottery George visiting Stiles with his new family...George looked so happy when he came to see us, and he looked really well He lives with Meg, another Stiles dog...All I can say is that they both knew a good home when they saw one...Good choice dogs.
Winston has problems with his coordination - which we think he was born with - and so needed very special and understanding owners. Lucky for him he's found some! Another very lucky little dog! This picture was sent by Smokey's new owners -taken within hours of him arriving in his new home! Smokey must think he's won the pools, lottery and premium bonds all in one go! Hi Sam, June, Jackie, Ann and everybody at Stilesmeadow,
Please see attached photo of Daisy (formerly Tiny), as you can see, she’s now settled in and has been accepted by our other two reprobates Poppy and Dusty. She’s already been on her first holiday on the Canals and we are due for a short break again next week!!
She had a bad cough during her first holiday that turned out to be Kennel Cough but she is now on the mend fortunately; unfortunately however, she has since kindly passed this first of all to Dusty and now also to Poppy, so they are both on antibiotics and coughing like good un’s. Still hopefully they’ll be over it before the next boat trip.
Also, my fingers are crossed but I think we might be over the toilet training issue!!
Take care and regards

Double trouble and double the fun for Bonny and Clyde's new owners! They were abandoned at the end of the drive at Stiles on a very cold wintry day and were very lucky to be spotted. We'd love to see them again when they've grown please! We were looking for that special person for Buster - and luckily she turned up! Look at that grin on his face! It looks like Max has found a loving and permanent home at last - he will make a great pal for his young owner It was love at first sight for Kim's new owners - Kim is certainly one of the lucky ones and we wish her all the best in the future Ansome paid us a visit recently with his new friend Shadow. We were delighted to see him so happy as he was with us for quite a few months over the winter and he desperately needed a good home. Luckily he has found one! Danny's found a great home, and we are all pleased to see him looking happy and loved. Come back to see us soon, Danny.
Harry, the hairy Hancock's lurcher, has found himself a family with a nice young lady, Milly Love at first sight! Willow with his new family. Hooch's new owner writes,
"Dear Sam and June
Just a line to let you know how Hooch is doing. I hope you like the enclosed photographs. I think he looks well and has settled very nicely.
The times he chases Susie (cat) are becoming fewer and further in between. I think it is a bit of a shock for him when he grabs at her and gets fur in his mouth. I really think he does not mean to touch her or hurt her otherwise he could have already done so.
I have had him to the vet about his diarrhoea. The vet said it is just his age. There is nothing really wrong. A couple of boiled eggs a day solves the problem. As long as he has his eggs each day he is fine.
Anyway, anytime anyone wants to visit him you are welcome. In the summer – God willing – I will bring him for a visit. By then he should be confident and secure enough to know he will not be left again
I hope you all had a good Christmas and new year. Take care and look after yourselves
Yours Truly
Marie"
An e mail received from Sean, who adopted Esme:
"Just a few lines to tell you about Esme. I have had the nicest few weeks since adopting her on the 21 jan-06. She has turned my life around for the better in a way I cannot describe.
Big Big thankyou’s to all at Stiles Meadow for everything they have done for Esme, Her coat condition and general all round well being has amazed me. She is a wonderful dog, full of character, loving, dependable - she’s my new best friend.
Change your life for the better-adopt a dog,you will not regret it."
Major came back for a visit - looking very smart indeed - his new home already had a pet cat, who, apparently is not quite so impressed with his handsome good looks and sweet nature! We knew that Poppy was a smashing little dog - and that she would make a wonderful pet for someone - luckily her new owners agree!!! It was great to see Zippy again,he looked happy and in good condition, we all hope he's rehomed for the last time Second time lucky we hope for Jingle. He had been rehomed before Christmas when he was only about three months old but, through no fault of his own, he returned to us in the New Year to a universal "hasn't he grown!" He's a lovely feller and we wish him all the best with his new family Max with his new owner, we all hope that Max as found his perfect family...Good Luck Max Digger returned to Stiles to show off his new owner to us - it was lovely to see him doing so well - good on ya Digger! 2006 is a new dawn for Polly - her new owners have so much to give and she will reward them with love and faithfulness Jake thrived affection when he was with us at Stiles - he went to his new home two days before Christmas, a better present he could not have hoped for. His new owners reported that he cuddled everyone in turn at Christmas - as well as destroying all of his presents in record time! When Holly was brought to us it quickly became evident that she was not a well puppy - prompt action by Sam and the vet revealed a life threatening condition and she was operated on the same night. Holly met her new owners in the vets and life has taken a definite upturn for her. She returned to visit us recently and is thriving - a real beauty, and very happy! A much loved Abbey came back to see us. Abbey is a constant companion for her new owner, it was so good to see her, looking happy and well.
Kate came back to see us, after being rehomed for three years, she looked happy, well and loved, we hope that she finds a new dog friend from Stiles some time in the future...If you give rescue dogs time and love, they make very rewarding pets.
Lauren and Jade,"At Last" Jade the staffy bull that we all loved at Stiles, is now in a wonderful home.Love the pink collar and lead Jade
Andy with his new owner, Andy at last has found a wonderful home, and we are all pleased that he's happy...."It was worth the wait" Benny getting to know the members of his new family, I'm sure he'll cope with his life change, and enjoy all the love, that he never had before. Before and after pictures of Sadie...I don't think a lot of words need to be said about Sadie, only that it's taken Chris, her owner, 2 years of love and care, and overcoming lots of problems, to make her the beautiful dog she now is. Chris is one in a million and proves that, with dedication, dogs can be saved and enjoy life again. From all at Stiles" THANK YOU "
Fourth time lucky for Merlin....We thank Merlin's new owners for giving him the love and understanding that he needed. If you love your rescue dog you work through their problems and love their faults.
