               Dedicated to rehoming

Home page Pets for rehoming Notice board The early days Living happily every after... All about us... Barking mad.... Thank yous In memoriam

All rehomings in the local area are subject to home checks by our volunteers, (see terms and conditions of adopting and our policy on rehoming to homes with children on the All about us page)- but we are also very happy to have rehomings out of our area.  These would be subject to veterinary references.

If there is a dog here to whom you would like to give a home please contact us on:

Telephone Jackie on 07974 857266
or visit on Tuesday, Thursday 2-5pm or Saturday 11am - 5pm (closed 1-2pm for lunch)

If you do not see a dog here which suits your circumstances check out the Rehome from Home page - on this page members of the public can advertise their dogs if they wish to rehome them themselves.  By law dogs need to stay with us for one whole week before they can be rehomed, to give their owners time to find and reclaim them.  Dogs only appear on this page when their week is up and they are available for rehoming.

!!SPECIAL APPEAL FOR GLEN!!

Glen, about 3 years...Glen is an active, very friendly and obedient collie cross. He would suit someone who is at home most of the day and can give him attention and time. Being a collie, Glen did not cope very well being in a kennel in Stiles and we have had to send him out to a foster home.

The fosterer reports that he is good in the house, gets on very well with her other dogs and would make a wonderful pet.

However Glen would benefit from a family used to collies. If you would like to meet Glen, ring Jackie before coming and she will arrange for him to come down to Stiles

Marty, is a young "saluki-like" cross - he's very lovable and elegant. He would love a family of his own - come and meet him!

Molly, about 4 years old, is a lively staffie, very affectionate and fun loving. She would love to spread out on the rug in front of your open fire this winter - if you can offer her this please come and see her! (gas fires also acceptable)

Toby, about 4-5 years old, is a large staffie cross. He was in Stiles in 2006 and was rehomed with Alfie (below). They have found themselves back here due to the bereavement of their owner. He's a gentle fellow and really needs a new home quickly.

Alfie, about 3-4 years old, has returned to Stiles with Toby, the staffie cross, following the bereavement of his owner. He's a lovely boy - a bit stressed about finding himself homeless but settling in gradually. He's very friendly.

Billy..5 / 6 years...Billy is a really quiet lurcher, he loves to be out with us but loves his bed, he deserves a good loving home. He is very good with the other dogs.

Billy was rehomed but had to return due to the ill health of his owner. His owners reported that he is a wonderful dog with no behavioural problems

Lenny came in with his sister Penny. They are both lovely staffies and are gentle and affectionate. They can be rehomed separately or together.

Penny is a lovely gentle staffie. She is very friendly and can be rehomed with Lenny or on her own.

Lucy is a gorgeous 3 year old lurcher who is looking for a new home through no fault of her own. She is very loving and sweet natured with a true zest for life. Lucy walks well on a lead and is housetrained but does not like cats.

Libby and brother Thomas were in Stiles when they were pups. They returned to us after their owner died. Libby is very distrustful of men, but is very affectionate with women and loves to play with squeaky toys.

With an experienced German Shepherd dog owner and a lot of time and patience she will make an affectionate and loyal companion

Thomas, brother to Libby, has issues with fear aggression. He is not a vicious dog but is very scared and defensive- especially towards men. He is improving all the time and is 100 times better than when he arrived in Stiles a few months back.

If you are an experienced German Shepherd owner and would like a challenge come along and meet Thomas.

Sandy...4 / 5 years old...Sandy is a good dog and needs to get back to family life, if you can help her ring or visit Sandy at the kennels

Skip, about 4 years old....Skip is a lively little dog.  Skip can be very temperamental and would need an experienced owner to help ....Can you help him?

Recently rehomed and no longer available:

Bonzo REHOMED, about 12-16 months old, is a young staffie/something bigger cross(the jury's out on that one, suggestions, boxer/staffie, great dane/staffie!!). He's a lovely boy and eager to please.

Tina REHOMED is a lively, needy youngster. She craves human attention and loves being cuddled. She would probably be better with an owner who is round most of the time as she needs lots of TLC.

Nell REHOMED is a lovely friendly 10 month old Border Collie who is looking for a home, preferably with someone who has experience of the breed.

She is good in the house and just like to potter about doing her own thing. Nell is stock friendly but would need to be supervised near chickens.

Jack REHOMED is a very handsome and lovable German Shepherd dog. He went from Stiles as a puppy about 8 years ago and has returned due to the ill health of his owner. He is a smashing dog and good with the other dogs on the yard.

Zoe about 5 years old REHOMED...Zoe is a great dog, she's really friendly and loves to be out with us. If you can give Zoe a loving home please ring or visit her at the kennels.

Toffee REHOMED ...Toffee is a lovely youngster, ever eager to please and loves people and dogs alike. She is so sweet and we've all fallen big time for her.

Phoebe REHOMED ..about 2 years old...Phoebe was recently rehomed but has returned to us because she turned against the owner's other dog due to jealousy. We think it was probably hormone related because she has just finished her season and the two dogs initially got on really well and shared the same basket.

Phoebe is a very friendly little jackie and on the whole gets on with the other dogs and humans alike. To be on the safe side though she would be better in a home with no other pets.

Olivia and Bella REHOMED are looking for new homes. They are brother and sister - young Bella is naturally the boss! They are lovely characters and the volunteers were bowled over by them. They are being kept in a foster home so if you are interested in meeting them please ring Jackie on 07974 857266 to organise it.

Update:

Oliver has a home but Bella is still hoping and waiting...

Barney, about 18 months old REHOMED, was found wandering the streets with a badly broken leg and starving. He was fed initially by a member of the public who found him in her garden. His leg just dangled and veterinary examination showed it to be very badly broken. He needed orthopaedic surgery and has been in plaster for several months, but a few weeks ago the plaster and lampshade came off, yippee for Barney! He still can't get out of the habit of walking on three legs but his confidence will return. He's a lovely chap, very affectionate and loves to play with Sasha on the yard. He needs a lot of building up but will quickly reward your hard work with his devotion.

Barney, it turns out, was with us in Stiles when he was a puppy with his sister Bonny, he was called Clyde at that time.

Barney is in longterm foster care to give his leg plenty of time to heal - his carer reports that he is the most beautiful affectionate dog. He is still available for the right owner who is prepared to restrict his exercise and give him time to repair properly

Rolo....3 years REHOMED.....Rolo's a great little dog, he's very friendly and cuddly. Rolo is predominantly Patterdale and is very strongwilled. We feel he would not be suitable for a home with cats. If you feel you could give Rolo a good home come to the kennels and meet him.

Sparky REHOMED ..about 12 months old...Sparky is a great little character, very friendly and playful.

Blue REHOMED..3/4 years...Blue is an amazing dog - he is totally relaxed with all the dogs and humans alike. He loves affection and it is really impossible to understand how he found himself in Stiles.

Minnie REHOMED ...3 / 4 years old...Minnie is a very friendly little Staffy, if you can give Minnie a good home come to the kennels and see her. Unlike most Staffies Minnie is also very good with the other dogs - she plays happily with Squire, Henry and Rolo.

Teddy REHOMED is 5-6 years old and is adorable. If you want to know more about him ring Jackie on 07974 857266

Henry, about 3-4 years old REHOMED....Henry is a very friendly, boisterous young boxer. Like all young boxers he is very strong and lively but will respond in the right hands. He will need a home where he is given a lot of time and attention, in the right hands he will make a smashing pet. We have a visiting dog trainer who has been working with Henry and the difference is amazing! He is so lovely and friendly, just very enthusiastic!

Henry has been rehomed twice now and returned, his new owners reported that he is great, but in both cases he didn't get on with the family cat (or they didn't get on with him!)

Billy REHOMED left Stiles as a puppy, but due to his owners ill health he finds himself looking for a new home. Billy's still young, he's only 8 months old, he's very lovable, house trained, loves walking and playing with his toys. Can you give Billy a new home?

Rocky REHOMED is a large German Shepherd and we think he is about 18 months old . He is a gentle giant, very friendly with people. He is obedient and eager to please and is extremely clean in his kennel.

Mickey REHOMED is a medium sized, young, friendly, lively dog. He is very friendly and loves playing with toys. He will make a wonderful pet.

Eddie REHOMED is a largish bouncy youngster - we think he is probably some sort of poodle cross/lurcher. He bounces around the yard and is all legs! He has a lovely temperament and plays very well (if not a little roughly) with Billy. He was found wandering the fields near Stiles and was very unkempt - it looks like he had been kept outside and was just dumped. Eddie is the one on the right.

Annie REHOMED is a small collie cross. She was quite traumatised and cried a lot when she first arrived at Stiles, but she has calmed down to make a lovely affectionate character who is very eager to please. She would be better with someone who is at home most of the day as she craves company and attention.

She will make a wonderful friend.

Boo, about 8-9 months old REHOMED, is just a playful youngster. On the photo she looks like a great dane - but she's nowhere near as big as that! She's about collie sized and very handsome. She needs to be with a family at her age and would be a very rewarding pet - she responds to authority and is respectful. How could anyone resist that appealing look?

Milly 2 years REHOMED.....was brought to us described as a jack russell. Well, she is jrt shaped but twice the size!! She is friendly and fun loving - her best friend at Stiles is Rolo and they hare up and down the yard together. She would make a good family dog.

A very special appeal for Sasha! REHOMED

Sasha has been at Stiles for a couple of years now - she is a lovely dog, very friendly, going greyer by the day (aren't we all!). She is good with most of the dogs, so long as she can be the boss they are the best of friends. She is the ideal dog for us to let out with the newcomers and the hooligans as she enjoys a good romp and enjoys playing rough. She is very friendly with men and women alike and really would make a smashing pet. She is starting to become institutionalised and really needs to have a warm fire for her dotage. If you are considering adopting an older dog then please consider Sasha...

Sasha about 9 years old...Sasha is a real character.  She's active and loves to be out with us.  She gets on well with the other dogs.  Sasha is a good dog and would be happy in a family.

Bonny 3-4 years RECLAIMEDis a lively fun loving rottie. She is very friendly and responds well to authority. We suspect she has been kept in a shed or pen in the past because she is happier with human company when she is loose in the paddock and happily returns to her kennel when told.

Paddy about 4 years old REHOMED....Paddy is a plucky, friendly little terrier. He gets on well with the other dogs in Stiles and specialises in strutting around as if he owns the place! He is so cute.
