All rehomings in the local area are subject to home checks by our volunteers, (see terms and conditions of adopting and our policy on rehoming to homes with children on the All about us page)- but we are also very happy to have rehomings out of our area. These would be subject to veterinary references.

Telephone Sam on 01260 226393
or visit on Tuesday, Thursday 2-5pm or Saturday 11am - 5pm (closed 1-2pm for lunch)If you do not see a dog here which suits your circumstances check out the Rehome from Home page - on this page members of the public can advertise their dogs if they wish to rehome them themselves. By law dogs need to stay with us for one whole week before they can be rehomed, to give their owners time to find and reclaim them. Dogs only appear on this page when their week is up and they are available for rehoming.

Sandy...7 / 8 years old...Sandy is a good dog and needs to get back to family life, if you can help her ring or visit Sandy at the kennels
Sandy is very affectionate and gives me big hugs when I arrive to feed and let the dogs out in the morning. She would be ideal for someone who wants a companion but perhaps doesn't want a dog for long walks. All she needs is a loving companion with a secure fair sized garden for her to explore. She gets very stressed when out and about around dogs she doesn't know or trust. She has had a few homes but come straight back when, against our advice, she was taken out for a walk and let off with dogs she has not met before. In Stiles she plays happily with Skippy and Brandy because she knows and trusts them. She would actually be happy with just a loving home, company and a secure garden.

Toby, about 4-5 years old, is a large staffie cross. He was in Stiles in 2006 and was rehomed with Alfie (below). They have found themselves back here due to the bereavement of their owner. He's a gentle fellow and really needs a new home quickly.

Libby and brother Thomas were in Stiles when they were pups. They returned to us after their owner died. Libby is very distrustful of men, but is very affectionate with women and loves to play with squeaky toys.
With an experienced German Shepherd dog owner and a lot of time and patience she will make an affectionate and loyal companion

Thomas, brother to Libby, has issues with fear aggression. He is not a vicious dog but is very scared and defensive- especially towards men. He is improving all the time and is 100 times better than when he arrived in Stiles a few months back.
If you are an experienced German Shepherd owner and would like a challenge come along and meet Thomas.
Recently rehomed and no longer available:
Marley, about 10 months old REHOMED, is a lovely young lad - he's playful, friendly and very responsive. Come along and meet him - he desperately needs a loving home.
Marley is finding life hard in his kennel - he desperately needs a home, preferably with another young dog to play with and preferably with someone who is at home most of the time.
Raffy REHOMED, is a collie type youngster. He is very friendly and is good with other dogs and people alike.

Molly REHOMED, about 4 years old, is a lively staffie, very affectionate and fun loving. She would love to spread out on the rug in front of your open fire this winter - if you can offer her this please come and see her! (gas fires also acceptable)
Molly has settled down such a lot since she has been at Stiles and she would make an faithful and loyal friend.
Zippy, about 1-2 years old REHOMED, was found tied up at the end of the Stilesmeadow drive. He was left there during a thunderstorm followed by really intense sunshine. Despite this he has been so friendly and lovely at all times - he's a beautiful dog and deserves a good home.
Buster, about 10 months old REHOMED, is a young, boisterous, friendly and fun loving GSD/rottie cross (we think!). He is highly intelligent and will make a very faithful companion. A knowledge of large breeds would be essential.
Minnie about 3 years old REHOMED, has returned to Stiles after 10 months in her previous home. She has been returned due to the owners having to move into an upstairs flat which does not allow pets.
She is a lovely Staffie, very child friendly and good with other dogs. She gets stressed if she is left a long time on her own so would be better with someone who perhaps doesn't work.

Glen REHOMED, about 3 years...Glen is an active, very friendly and obedient collie cross. He would suit someone who is at home most of the day and can give him attention and time. Being a collie, Glen did not cope very well being in a kennel in Stiles and we have had to send him out to a foster home.
The fosterer reports that he is good in the house, gets on very well with her other dogs and would make a wonderful pet.
However Glen would benefit from a family used to collies. If you would like to meet Glen, ring Jackie before coming and she will arrange for him to come down to Stiles
Barney REHOMED is about two years old. He was thrown out on to the streets by a previous owner and was found with a badly broken leg cowering in a garden. After surgery he was fostered out to a home for convalescence where he has made a good recovery.
His foster family were thrilled with him - he is cat safe and good with livestock (he was on a smallholding) and plays happily with other dogs.
He's a great character and will make a wonderful faithful pet - he deserves a good home.
Kim, about 2-3 years old REHOMEDis a really nice staffie, good with people. She craves affections and would make a lovely family dog.

Billy REHOMED ..5 / 6 years...Billy is a really quiet lurcher, he loves to be out with us but loves his bed, he deserves a good loving home. He is very good with the other dogs.
Billy was rehomed but had to return due to the ill health of his owner. His owners reported that he is a wonderful dog with no behavioural problems
Freddie REHOMED is about 16 months old. He is a lovely friendly dog and would make a good companion. He would be better in a one-dog family.
This is a description of Ozzy REHOMED sent to us by a previous owner - we usually do not know anything about our dogs so it is useful to have some history - he's a great dog!
"Staffordshire bull 2 years old blue and white and neutered.; this is Ozzy. I had him about 8 months ago from a guy who was going to send him to the dogs home so i took him in. All was great at first but I also have a ridgeback who I have had for 8 years and they seem to go through stages around food where they will fight and it's hard to split them up so i feel it's not fair on my older dog.
So I would like to find him a loving permanent home. He is house trained, great with kids, and very loyal. He's a great dog but does need a home where he is the only dog "
