Indiana (Indy)

18 month female lurcher looking for a home.

Indy is a very special dog. She was found in a coma on a field, aged about 5 months. We rehabilitated her but she started having seizures at Christmas, when she was then diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. Since starting treatment she has had no more seizures, but her mental age is that of a puppy and likely to remain so. She is also quite small, standing only 22 inches at the shoulder.
She is an incredibly affectionate dog and craves human contact, and really needs an owner who can spend the majority of the day with her. Her thyroid condition means that she doesn't require a lot of exercise, just plenty of love!
Her veterinary bills are all covered by PetPlan, with whom she is insured. We would advise that this insurance policy be continued as it covers her for life.
She is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.
The only reason she can't stay with us is that work keeps us out long hours and she is not getting enough human contact.

Please contact Eleanor on emad2@cantab.net in the first instance.

We adopted Rufus 18 months ago from Manchester dogs home, after he had been there for 10 months.
He has quite severe separation anxiety, and hates being left alone, so we are looking for a home for Rufus where someone will nearly always be around.

When left alone he constantly paces, pants and drools, won't drink water the whole time you are gone and can be quite destructive as he tries to get out of the room. He is such a loving, friendly dog, we tried everything to calm him so we could keep him, but, unfortunately, nothing has worked. As I start full time work in September, it would be cruel to let him stay at home all day every day so anxious, so we have decided it is in his best interest to find him a loving home.

He is approximately 8 years old, and has had a tough past life. Despite this, he is very loving and loves nothing more than being fussed. He is absolutely gorgeous. He is great with kids and is very placid. He doesn't like cats, or other dogs if they pester him - he likes to be left alone by other dogs.
He is quite lazy, so doesn't need a lot of walking, he would much rather cuddle up at your feet! Saying that, he is still quite playful - he loves to play tug of war, probably because it means someone is paying him attention!

Please call or email me for any information. He really is the perfect dog when you are home - we are a young couple who need to work hard to pay the bills, so even though he is a wonderful dog, he just doesn't get the attention he needs from us. Ideally someone retired or with a lot of time on their hands would make an ideal owner for Rufus.

Laddy is a lovely dog and he has been great with my children in the short period they were together. He is very intelligent, loyal, and obedient. We'd love him to have a home where he has lots of loving company and gets lots of exercise. He is great in net as a goaly, he absolutely loves ball games and fetching and catching. Lovely temperament and fully house trained. Good guard dog.

Laddy currently lives on his own in a house, his present owner goes to feed and walk him once or twice a day, this has been the case for 12 months since his owner married and moved into an 8th floor tower block apartment 10 miles away. His present owner has kept him on at his property as a guard dog to avoid vandalism to his property. His owner thinks a lot about his dog although he doesn't fully appreciate a dogs real needs which are far more important than the job he's kept him for.

Laddy deserves a break from this pretty miserable life. Can anyone help him live the rest of his life with some love and dignity.

He has been to a house on trial but didn't get on with her 2 male dogs. (St Bernard and a Jack Russell who tormented him) He was however fine with her female Russell who paid him no attention at all. This was just a one night trial. He is nine and has been the only dog. His owner has not neutered him or kept him up to date with vaccines. I have seen Laddy's plight and hence owner is more than happy for me to rehome him on his behalf.

Thanks

American Staffordshire Terrier 18 months old.

I am the owner of Max the above dog. Unfortunately my Partner and I have split up and also a close relative is terminally ill and I am having support him with personal care.

This means I find that Max is having to stay by himself from 7am whilst I am at work and after supporting my relative until late evening, about 10pm. This obviously is not fair on Max and I am seeking him to be re-homed for his welfare. Can you help me with my problem please?

My phone number is 07595831288

Ruby is a labrador/greyhound cross bitch (sandy coloured) and is of medium size. She is 12 years old yet extremely fit for her age. She has recently had a full health check at the vets inc. blood tests and has a clean bill of health. She has no signs of arthritis at all and is happy to walk for 10 minutes or 2 hours (she really is that fit)!! She has had a good life and has been well looked after. Obviously house trained and when at home is happy to just curl up on her bed and sleep (very undemanding). Rubys owner has been in hospital for the last 2 months and is sadly losing her sight. She will be unable to give Ruby the life she has been used to. It would be great if somebody could offer Ruby a nice quiet home on either a fostering basis or permanent basis. She would be best suited to an older couple/single person. She is very loving and easy work and is no problem when left at home alone.
IMPORTANT - if somebody could take on Ruby, any future vets bills would be paid for by us. As she is an older dog we feel that this is only fair.... Please give Ruby a chance, she is worth it!!!!! Please call me on 07969 315208 any time to discuss further. I am in Congleton and you can come and see her anytime. THANK YOU

Hi

I would like to advertise my collie bitch. She is approx 14 weeks old and has had a bad start in life, being poorly when she was first born. We have seen her get better with no lasting illness( just a virus from the kennels we bought her from).

She doesn't seem to like my children and with two young children she has to find a new home. She has lived with another dog and likes to play. She hasn't had her injections yet as they were delayed by her illness but can have them any time now.

She needs a loving home. She's black and white short haired with blue eyes, mainly black.

Please give me a call on 01782 817806 if interested.Thank you

Snoop is a 2 year old staffie-cross. He is great with other dogs; very friendly. He is very sociable with people & loves cuddles/human contact. He is NOT good with cats. He has had all up to date health checks/ vaccinations (health records available) He is micro-chipped, insured and neutered.

I am looking for a caring new home for Snoop as due to work commitments I am unable to give him the daily attention he deserves. He requires an owner that is at home/retired or works part time. An owner with older children or no children would suit.

We have a 6 year old female rottweiller bitch, roxy , who unfortunately needs re homing , due to her been able to jump our 4 foot fence panels into the neighbours garden and have had complaints from the council because of this.

Roxy is housetrained , has been bought up round young children and is great with them and has also been bought up around my other dog. They get on well. She is also spayed and microchipped and will be sadly missed by me and my children.

Anyone intersted in re homing her can ring me , Christine on 07910187428 or 01260 277315 to arrange seeing her (congleton area)

This is Poppy, my 2 yr old Jack Russell, (dont be deceived by her cuteness -devil in disguise)!

Sadly rehoming as she deserves a home who can give her the exercise she needs, i can no longer take her walkies due to my worsening spinal disability.

On the plus side, she has been spayed, wormed, vaccinated, housetrained (but only when door left ajar) - she hasnt twigged that she needs to bark, scratch at door 2 be let out so she does have the occassional accident and paper needs to be put down for her when going out or at night. She is friendly to people and children (bark worse than her bite), very playful and loves a cuddle.

On the minus side, she's not reliable with other animals especially other dogs. Despite her small size, she's very strong and pulls a lot on the lead, so wouldnt be ideal for an elderly person, she would need a well fenced in garden as she's a bit of an escape artist.

She would ideally suit a person/persons who are at home most of the time and love walking.

If anyone feels up to the challenge of taming this loveable rogue, preferably someone who's had jack russells before, have no other pets or very young children, then please contact me on 07847357741 or email me at: scullyx24@yahoo.co.uk, i live in Biddulph, Staffs.

This is our beautiful staffy dog Harvey. He is white with some black spots.
It is very sad for us to say that he needs a new home, he is not getting the attention he needs and deserves. We bought Harvey home 1 year ago when he was just 6 weeks old but shortly after we found out we were due to have our second son. With 2 children under 18 months and work to go to our loving, playful, bouncy!! Harvey deserves more than we can offer him.

**chipped
**vaccinated
**house trained
**Very good with children (he will be greatly missed by our 18 month old son Max)
**Very very bouncy.
**Walks well on lead ( and with pushchair )

We couldn't bare him going to the kennels so we're homing him from our home, that way he's not distressed and you get to see him in his own environment. Harvey would suit a couple or single person with time to give him plenty of love, attention and to walk him daily.

If you are keen to met him please contact us on 01270 761903 or 07526546549 (Sandbach, Cheshire area) and we can make arrangments. Thx :-)

Billie is our 18 month old 'Jack Russell' who came from a local farm. He lives as part of our family, Mum, Dad and three children aged 11, 8 and 3 and is a lovely family pet in almost every way. He loves to play, is fairly obedient and loves being fussed and brushed but unfortunately Billie doesn't like strangers, big or small! He barks and becomes very aggressive despite our best efforts to reassure him, (he has tried to bite on three occasions recently). We think he loves us so much he feels that he has to fiercely protect us at all times but we can't keep him any longer and take the risk that he could injure somebody.

Billie has the potential to become a really lovely dog and needs somebody who can help him to like people! A dogs home would prevent anybody from seeing this potential because he would be aggressive towards anybody who came near and probably end up staying in a kennel for a long time which would be a real shame.

Billie is young, fully vaccinated, neutered, micro-chipped and housetrained. He isn't a yappy dog and he isn't destructive, he just need a loving children-free environment and some dedicated help to resolve his issues. Please call us on 07807 815985 if you think you can offer Billie a new home. Thanks.

We are desperate to find a good home for our 5 year old Bassett Hound dog. Due to our change in circumstances we find that we are no longer able to care for our lovely dog. His is a red and white dog with a lovely nature and is marvellous with children.

We live in a terraced house with no garden and have been taking Freddie out during the day for walks. There is no-ne at home during the day now and he does not like to be left indoors whilst we are out and starts to bark. Our neighbours are complaining bittery about this and we feel it is unfair on the dog also.

If you could please try and find a home for Freddie we would be very grateful. We will be sorry to see him go as he is a very loving pet but he needs a better home. Please contact us on 01298 72886 or moblile 07885 879038.

Many thanks,

John and Annabelle Lowe.

TYSON

Tyson is very friendly 8 year old rottie and has been brought up around children. He has been an outside dog but will settle inside and is completely housetrained and non-destructive. Tyson is a lovely black and tan colour. He particularly likes women as he has had a woman owner since his was a puppy The reason for rehoming is due to circumstances. I cannot meet his needs for walks, exercise etc that a big dog like Tyson deserves. Tyson has had an offer of a home but he made his way home after a couple of days - his new owners will need to be aware of this.

I would need to meet prospective new owners. I don't want him to be a guard dog or left outside completely with no human company as he is very loving and likes being part of the family.

If you could offer Tyson a loving home please contact Lynne on 07753406837. Tyson lives in the Crewe Area

Karen Roberts.

Kingy is a loving, friendly, energetic Border Collie who is 4 years old. Since the birth of my daughter,Kingy doesnt get half as much attention as he used to and with myself having to go back to work full time, feel it is unfair to keep him locked up all day.  We are looking for a loving home for him as he is a great dog.

Kingy has been neutered and is up date with his worming. please, please, please consider him as he deserves this......

for further details please call Caroline on 07969732649 / 01612179250.

This is Maxwell Buckley the 1st (Max.) He is 2 years and 3 months old and a Border Collie Cross Breed. Max has lived with us since he was 4 weeks old and is a loving, protective, intelligent dog, that needs lots of exercise and stimulation. I'm sad to say that Max now needs a new home. I (his mum) have become pregnant and we already have 2 other children, a Jack Russell and all of them in a two bedroomed terraced house. Unfortunately, Max is not the kind of dog that would enjoy living outside and it will be impossible for us to have everyone under this small roof.

Please, please, please consider Max, if you can provide a great dog with a loving, energy filled home. Max, in return will provide you with great entertainment and loyalty. He is great with other dogs and children and loves a cuddle and kiss.

Please call Keeley on 07828335529 or 01606833808

Please also call Pete on 07737916739 or 01606354720

Muttley is a gorgeous 3 year old (in April) neutered rottweiler, bull mastiff cross.

He's got a wonderful nature & is very friendly, if over friendly with strangers. That's probably more because we live in an isolated spot on an old farm so he doesn't get to see many people so that those he does see he wants to say hello to. He's good with other dogs when out on walks but will chase cats.

We're looking to rehome him because we are sadly moving to a much smaller place & now have a 14 month old daughter who I know (as much as you can know) he would never hurt but just his sheer size & boisterousness is a problem in a restricted place now she's trying to walk. When we got him we didn't think that I was going to be able to have children & that we would always be able to stay here.

My number is 01538-304339

If you can offer a good home for her please contact Vicky on 07768521628

Happy Endings.....

Hi

Just thought you may want to see a picture of Chesney (formerly Charlie) who we rehomed via the rehome-from-home page on your website. He's a lively and lovable little boy who loves nothing better than chasing and retrieving a tennis ball. He settled in  very easily and we've never had any trouble with him - he likes everyone and everything but if we let the phone ring for too long he howls, likewise if he hears a siren nearby! We can't imagine life without him now and we love him dearly.

Sue DaviesI

(It's good to see Chesney on the bed where he belongs!)
